Q&A: Exercises for the lower back pain?

Question by Matthew Prank: Exercises for the lower back pain?
I started having some lower back problems a couple of weeks ago and want to know of any exercises for the lower back and lower abs, it seems when the back is bothering me, tightening the lower abs eases the pain, so if I could build those up I think it would help.

You should first start with the neck. Hands by your side, stand upright, turn head to the right and place chin on shoulder. Slowly turn head to the left without taking your chin off your body and rest on left shoulder. Do this three or four times then do the reverse from left to right.
Then, lay close to the edge of your bed on your side. Fold the knee of your upper leg so it extends oer the side of the bed with your foot resting on the lower leg. Bend your knee downwards are far as possible. Do this 10 times, then turn around and do the other leg. Do these twice a day for a few days and the backache should go, you’ll probably feel relief after the second session.

I have had increasingly severe back pain and leg numbness to the point that I can sometimes barely walk. Will the doctor induce labor for that?
I have a dr’s appt. on Thursday and plan to ask him about it. Just wanting to know if that may be a possibility.

I had the same problem when I was your age!
I was in gymnastics and was stressed out at school.
It was taking a toll on my body.

Try to relax after school. Take long baths and try some meditation and yoga… anything that really relaxes you and you can take your mind completely off of daily life..

You can’t over do it at that age or it will affect you in your 20′s and up..

I get someone to rub my back. Fifteen minutes and I’m as good as new.

Also. consider strengthening your back muscles. The stronger they are, the less they’ll hurt.
